history of our namesake

inspired by a film

In 1942 the US Government legalized hemp for the war efforts. To help educate the public about the benefits of hemp as an essential plant that civilizations have relied on for centuries in the textile industry, a movie called Hemp for Victory was created and distributed across the country. Using this film as inspiration for the name of our organization, Hemp for Victory is on a mission to educate people on the importance of this plant for our veteran population. More than a textile plant, this is a medicinal plant that can be used to bring much-needed relief to those who need it - and who need us.
